Video Release: Coast Guard, tanker Renda prepare for fuel transfer

NOME, Alaska — Mayor Denise Michels, of Nome, Rear Adm. Thomas Ostebo, Coast Guard District 17 commander, Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski and Alaska Lt. Gov. Mead Treadwell arrive in Nome, Alaska, to brief media and talk to the crew of the Coast Guard Cutter Healy, Jan. 15, 2012.

The Healy and crew have been escorting and breaking ice for the Renda since Jan. 3, 2012, to deliver more than 1.3 million gallons of fuel to Nome.
