Coast Guard locates Ketchikan residents, child 30 miles northeast of Ketchikan

KODIAK, Alaska - Klyn Kloxin, 50, and Tracy Harrel, 46, both Ketchikan residents, and a child, a Lewiston, Idaho, resident, arrive in Ketchikan after being located in good condition on the beach in eastern Behm Canal 30 miles northeast of Ketchikan and delivered safely to Ketchikan Monday, Aug. 17, 2009 by the crew of a MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter from Air Station Sitka.  KODIAK, Alaska - Klyn Kloxin, 50, and Tracy Harrel, 46, both Ketchikan residents, and a child, a Lewiston, Idaho, resident, arrive in Ketchikan after being located in good condition on the beach in eastern Behm Canal 30 miles northeast of Ketchikan and delivered safely to Ketchikan Monday, Aug. 17, 2009 by the crew of a MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter from Air Station Sitka.

Crews aboard a Coast Guard 47-foot motor life boat and a 25-foot rescue boat from Station Ketchikan along with a MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew from Air Station Sitka searched 811 miles of shore and sea in the vicinity of Behm Canal, Reveillagigedo Channel, Thorne Arm, Annette Island and the surrounding areas. The Ketchikan Volunteer Rescue Squadron, good Samaritan vessels and local family members assisted in the search.
