Juneau Coast Guard Chiefs to hold 36th Annual Senior Citizen's Holiday Dinner |

Entertainment by the Irish Dancers of Juneau is scheduled to begin at 3:30 p.m. with dinner being serve around 4:30 p.m. Other entertainment during the dinner will include the Children of all Nations, the Highland Dancers, Juneau Jazz Band, the Juneau-Douglas High School Chamber Choir and the Circle of Light. For seniors needing a ride to the event, Care-A-Van will again be available for transportation but it is important that they reserve transportation prior to Saturday as Care-A-Van will not be able to schedule pick-ups the day of the dinner. The Juneau Senior Citizen's Holiday Dinner began 35 years ago when Master Chief Petty Officer Carl Constantine, Senior Chief Petty Officer C.T. Barger and a group of Coast Guard Chief Petty Officers who were stationed in "The Chiefs would like to thank all the local businesses and organizations that have made this dinner possible and a successful event each year," said Senior Chief Petty Officer Charles Franklin, president of the Juneau Chief Petty Officers Association Chapter. "The Juneau Chapter of the Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer's Association is honored to sponsor this festive holiday dinner for the senior citizens of Only senior citizens and their caregivers, where needed, should plan on attending. |
