Coast Guard Cutter Liberty recognized for 20 years of service

JUNEAU, Alaska - Lt. Brian Tesson, commanding officer of the Coast Guard Cutter Liberty, is awarded by Kathy Hildre and Jackie Walden of the 50th Statehood Committee for the City of Juneau, with the official statehood medal.

JUNEAU, Alaska - Lt. Brian Tesson, commanding officer of the Coast Guard Cutter Liberty, is awarded by Kathy Hildre and Jackie Walden of the 50th Statehood Committee for the City of Juneau, with the official statehood medal.

Each member of the Liberty was also presented with a medal for their service aboard the cutter.

JUNEAU, Alaska - Lt. Jason D. Hetherington stands in front of the Coast Guard Cutter Liberty while holding his plankowner plaque.

Hetherington was a member of the original crew that commissioned the Liberty on Dec. 19, 1989 at Station Juneau.
