KODIAK, Alaska -- Coast Guard Sector Anchorage members participate in the costumed 24th Annual Polar Bear Jump in Seward Saturday as food Icon characters.

Participants braved cold waters and chilly temperatures in an effort to raise money for the American Cancer Society (Alaska Division) and Children with Cancer.

Robert Forgit, Petty Officer 3rd Class Lacy Gomoluch and Petty Officer 3rd Class Kristyn Bennett, stationed a Coast Guard Sector Anchorage, participate in the 24th annual Polar Bear Jump charity event as the Chick-fil-a Cows and the Lucky Charms Leprachaun in Seward Saturday.
