Official Coast Guard Photo Release Fishing vessel stuck on rocks For a high resolution version, click the photo number or the photo below 050623-C-0326M-500-Defiant.jpg JUNEAU, Alaska - The Defiant, a 59-foot commercial fishing vessel, sits on rocks after it grounded Thursday morning in Dog Bay, near Kodiak. Kodiak's Marine Safety Detachment is monitoring the situation, as the vessel was blocking the entrance to St. Herman Harbor. The vessel's crew took advantage of the high tide Thursday night to re-float the boat. Once afloat, a diver inspected the hull of the vessel and found no significant damage.
