Stobbe to take Cutter SPAR helm

KODIAK, Alaska - The Coast Guard cutter SPAR crew will welcome a new commanding officer during a ceremony here at 2 p.m. today.

Lt. Cmdr. Anthony A. Stobbe will relieve Cmdr. D. Scott Bauby as the 225-foot Juniper class buoy tender's commanding officer.

Stobbe, a Longmont, Colo. native, is arriving from Juneau where he served as the planning officer for the Coast Guard Civil Engineering Unit. He is married with four children.

Bauby will transfer to Portsmouth, Va., to take over as the Chief of Law Enforcement at the Coast Guard Atlantic Area headquarters, 5th Coast Guard District. He is married with two children.
