On August 10, Alaska State Troopers seized 324 marijuana plants from the site, with an estimated street value of $600,000. McLaughlin) KODIAK, Alaska- After Alaska State Troopers secure the landing area, a joint insertion team of two Alaska State Troopers and Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class Wade Bryant gather their gear and make their way to the seized growing sites of 324 marijuana plants. The troopers with the help of the Coast Guard helicopter crew flew to the site to retrieve evidence and search for suspects. (Official Coast Guard photo by Petty Officer Christopher D. McLaughlin) KODIAK, Alaska- Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class Wade Bryant with an Alaska State Trooper carry one of two 69 pound propane tanks to a net that will be used carry the tanks by helicopter back to Kodiak. The tanks may have been used to keep marijuana crops warm. Troopers will pick up the tanks along with other seized evidence from the Coast Guard military police station here when it arrives by helicopter. McLaughlin) KODIAK, Alaska- Coast Guard Petty Officer 2nd Class Wade Bryant carries seized evidence from a group of three marijuana growing plots, raided by Alaska State Troopers. The evidence was loaded into a basket lowered from a Coast Guard HH-60 Jayhawk helicopter. The helicopter crew made it easier for troopers to transport the evidence off Spruce Island to Kodiak. Two 69 pound propane tanks that were also seized were attached to the bottom of the aircraft by a hoist-line and brought back to Kodiak to be picked up by troopers.
